Maternity Nurses

Trained midwives and nurses holding relevant qualifications to care for new mum and baby.  This is usually a short-term placement, 4-8 weeks. Can be live-in or live-out depending on your location.

 Nannies and Nursery Nurse

Available for day or night duties. Nannies and Nursery Nurses are qualified to NNEB or similar standard.

A Nanny would be expected to take sole charge and be fully responsible for young children and look after their needs, All duties are child related including meals, laundry and keeping any areas used by child/Nanny tidy. This could include school runs.

Mother’s help/ Au pair

Have relevant childcare experience but have no formal qualifications. Workings alongside mother in general care of young children but should not be expected to have full time sole charge. They also carry out light housework, this is a mutual agreement.

Babysitters

Have the above qualifications or experience. Mainly a short term one off placement 

Childminders

Qualified child carers working from there own homes.

  Live –in positions

A maternity nurse or nanny will have her own private living space, the use of household amenities. All meal’s included; use of the family car is sometimes included.
